Installation and operating instructions SIE...BV/DIE...BV/PBE...BV
If water/glycol mixtures are used ( fluids with a viscosity other than
that of pure water), an increase in power consumption of the pump is
to be taken into account. Only use mixtures with corrosion inhibitors.
The respective manufacturer's instructions are to be observed.
• The fluid must be sediment-free.
• Salmson's approval must be obtained for the use of other fluids.
• Pump SIE...BV/DIE...BV/PBE...BV, complete
• Installation and operating instructions
Accessories must be ordered separately:
• Brackets with fixation material for installation on a base
• External EMC filter
See catalogue for detailed list.
The described pumps are single-stage low-pressure centrifugal
pumps in compact design with a coupled motor. The pumps can be
installed both directly as a pipe installation pump in a sufficiently
anchored pipe or placed on a foundation base.
The pump housing of the SIE...BV and DIE...BV has an inline design, i.e.
flanges on suction and pressure sides lie on one middle line. The spiral
housing of the PBE...BV leads from the axially arranged suction flange
into the radially arranged pressure flange. All pump housings are pro-
vided with a pump base. Installation on a foundation base is recom-
mended.
The electronic module controls the speed of the pump within the
control range that can be adjusted by the setpoint.
Depending on the control mode, the differential pressure follows dif-
ferent criteria. In all control modes, however, the pump adapts itself
continuously to the changing power requirements of the system,
which is the case especially when thermostatic valves or mixers are
used.
The main advantages of the electronic control are the following:
• Reduced number of differential pressure valves required
• Energy savings
• Reduction of flow noise
The following pump types ensure the control modes and functions
described in the following:
Type with differential pressure sensor:
Manual operation via the option of adjusting the setpoint "manually"
via the "+" and "–" button functions on the control panel of the elec-
tronic module.
Type without differential pressure sensor (R1):
External operation via the option of the "external" adjustment of the
setpoint via current/voltage signals.
NOTE
The "+" and "–" buttons on the control panel of the electronic module
are deactivated with the R1 type.
