4.2 Operating Automated Parts

The Super Automatic Tire Changer operates according
to reset work cycles (Mounting and Demounting
Programs) that can be selected by the operator.
Using these cycles all movements are controlled by
the machine.
The operator is only required to perform a number of
selections and settings on the User Interface keyboard,
after which the various work cycles can begin.
Note:
Pressing the Unclamp From Rim pedal
interrupts the work cycle that is in
progress and deletes the data acquired
previously. At this point, to run another
automatic program you will need to fi rst
perform a data acquisition operation.
The software operates the entire automatic process
in a series of clearly defi ned steps that are named in
the manual as follows:
Work cycle:
This is the complete tire change procedure, or rather,
the set of Demounting and Mounting Programs.
Program:
This refers to the operations involving Demounting and
Mounting the tire on the rim. The control panel has a
special key for each of the two selections.
Subprogram:
This identifi es the subdivision of the programs into
the individual programs performed in both programs.
The fi gure (Fig.4.2-1) shows the Programs and the
respective Subprograms that make them up.
Phase:
This is a further division of the Subprogram. The
machine stops all movements automatically and
emits a warning "beep". The operator must release
the lever (2, Fig.4.1-2) to confi rm the temporary stop
request and then activate lever "2" again to continue
the automatic procedure.
Having loaded the wheel or even just the rim, for the
automated parts to operate correctly you need to:
Set the value corresponding to the rim
diameter, using the + and – keys (1 and 2, Fig.4.1-1).
Select the required Wheel Mode. By default
the machine always proposes NORMAL, (see the
Selecting Wheel Mode chapter).
Select the required program using these
keys:
