CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Descaling: The descaling process must be carried out every 20 hours of use in steam
mode. This condition is highlighted by the flashing icon (18), which prevents any
additional programs from starting until descaling has been carried out. To run the
process, proceed as follows:
1) Fill the tank to the rim, using mains water.
2) Specific descaling products can be used provided they are food-grade (citric acid or
acetic acid) and edible, mixed with the water from the tank according to the
recommended doses on the product label.
3) Place the tank back in its seat.
4) Tap icon (31), which starts the process that lasts for about 25 minutes.
5) Wait for it to finish, after which the appliance switches to the off state as it would
after a normal cooking program.
6) Do not stop the descaling process prematurely as the appliance would consider it
incomplete and prevent the running of normal programs.
7) At the end of the process, empty the tank, rinse it under running water, fill it with
pure water again and run a normal 15-minute steam program.
8) Empty the condensate tray (7), wash the drawer and grease trap grille in warm
water with normal dish soap, then rinse thoroughly.
9) Put the accessories back in place: the appliance is now ready for normal use.
Cleaning and maintenance: The appliance does not require maintenance, or rather the
replacement of consumable parts or scheduled overhauls apart from the descaling
process described above. As a rule, it is sufficient to clean the drawer and the grease
trap grille at regular intervals using common dish soap applied with a sponge and
adequate rinsing. All cleaning must absolutely be carried out with the power cord
disconnected and, before reconnecting, ensure that all parts are completely dry. All
surfaces and especially the heating element must also be completely cooled down.
Always avoid aggressive detergents, abrasive sponges, iron wool or other chemical
cleaners: specific products for cleaning the oven must not be used to clean the drawer
compartment and must never be sprayed on the heating element, which does not need
to be cleaned. Use a damp cloth to clean the inside walls when the appliance is
completely cooled down. If food material comes into contact with the heating element,
wait until it has cooled down completely and remove it very gently using a soft-bristled
brush.
