Operation
• Press the clamping sleeve and clamping tool fi rmly
against the wheel and lift the pedal (Fig. 5-7a).
• Check for proper clamping prior to the measuring
run.
Warnings:
If during clamping the pedal is operated a second time,
clamping is interrupted and the clamping jaws return
to the home position.
After every clamping operation the screen RIM DATA
ENTRY comes up automatically to enter the values.
The measuring run can only be carried out if the wheel
is correctly clamped and the wheel guard is closed.

5.2.1.2 Unclamping the wheel

Note:
While the jaws unclamp, hold the wheel so that it
will not tilt when unclamped.
• Lift the pedal (Fig. 5-7a).
• Remove the clamping sleeve from the chuck (Fig.
5-7b).
• Remove the wheel.
5.3 Fitting the Power Clamp device

Note:
When the Power Clamp device must be refi tted on
the machine, set the operating mode C22 to On:
"Disabling the Power Clamp device clamping".
Move the clamping jaws to unclamped position.
Unscrew the taper nut and place aside.
Remove the special clamping tool, if previously
mounted on the taper chuck.
Mount the basic body of the Power Clamp, screw it
onto the tie rod to the end of the threading and then
release it again by a quarter of a turn.
Slide the basic body of the Power Clamp by hand onto
the taper part, inserting the screw heads through the
bayonet disc holes.
Turn the basic body of the Power Clamp until the screw
thread touches the bayonet disc.
Push the clamping sleeve with clamping head and
tighten.
Tighten the screws evenly with a 13 mm open end
wrench.
