5.6 Data detection mode

5.6.1 Selecting the Type of Vehicle

Select the Type of Vehicle before the measuring run.
— In the screen of the RIM DATA ENTRY Menu (Fig.
5-12) press the TYPE of VEHICLE key.
— Select the TYPE OF VEHICLE item according to
the rim.
When the selection has been made, the Type of
Vehicle in use identifi cation icon will be displayed in
the Information Field (7b,Fig. 5-12).

7 Standard vehicle wheel (car) - nominal dimensions
in inches . The measuring unit inches is displayed.
Normal and Alu 1 to Alu 5 weight positioning can be
selected. To select a standard wheel with nominal
dimensions in mm ( TD or TRX wheels), press the
"mm" item (6b,Fig. 5-12).
9 Light industry vehicle wheel (Van) - nominal
dimensions in inches.
The threshold value for suppression is automatically
doubled when this type is chosen.
10 Motorcycle wheel - nominal dimensions in inches
with imbalances resolved and suppressed in the
same way as car wheels.
