5.11.3 Start optimisation or weight
minimisation
Procedure:
— Clamp the wheel or bare rim.
— Enter correct rim dimensions, or check existing
inputs for correctness.
— Close the wheel guard (if necessary press the
START key).
— Starting from the BALANCING Menu press key 20
(Fig. 5-39).
The OPTIMISATION screen is displayed (Fig. 5-40).
If an optimisation/minimisation is present in the
memory, press key 21; in this way, the program
continues from the step in which it was interrupted,
with the relevant measurement values and settings,
and the optimisation/minimisation may continue.
Now it is possible to choose whether to continue with
Optimisation (Key 28), or with Minimisation (Key 29).
5.11.3.1 OPTIMISATION
— Clamp the rim only.
— Move the gauge arm into position on the rim, based
on the desired ALU.
— Perform a measuring run.
— In the BALANCING Menu press key 20 (Fig. 5-39).
— Press key 28 (Fig. 5-40).
The "OP1" screen page appears (Fig. 5-41 ).
— Press key 26 for confi rmation (Fig. 5-41).
— The OPTIMISATION "OP.2" screen is displayed
(Fig. 5-42).
