STARTING THE ENGINE
Place ignition key (1) to
position (the buzz that you
-
hear when you turn the key to this position is caused
by the fuel pump which puts the feeding system
under pressure);
pull the clutch lever (2);
-
shift gear pedal (3) to neutral position then release
-
the clutch control level;
check that the button (4) is in the correct position
-
and then press the start button (5).

Note
A safety switch is fitted on the clutch lever support.
This switch allows you to start the engine only
with gearbox in neutral position, or with the gear
engaged and the clutch lever pulled.
With the stand lowered, the bike can only be started
with the gear in neutral.
Note
IMPORTANT IN CASE OF COLD START AT LOW
TEMPERATURES
It is recommended to perform a brief warm-up at
idling speed until there is a normal engine response
to the throttle opening.
In this way the oil can reach all the points that need
lubrication and the coolant reaches the necessary
temperature for correct engine operation.
Avoid heating the engine for too long.
WARNING
The exhaust system contains carbon
monoxide. Never run the engine indoor.
CAUTION
Never accelerate the engine after a start
cold.
