II.13.7 Top-up / replacement of refrigerant charge
The units are factory-tested with the gas charge necessary for correct
operation. The amount of gas inside the circuit is indicated in the serial
number plate.
In the event the R410A charge must be restored, drain the circuit, remo-
ving any trace of non-condensable gases with humidity. After maintenan-
ce operations on the cooling circuit and before restoring the gas charge,
wash the circuit thoroughly.
Then top-up the exact amount of new oil and refrigerant as shown on the
serial no. plate. The refrigerant must be piped from a cylinder in the liquid
phase, so as not to alter its composition (R32/R125).
Once the recharge operation has been carried out, restart the unit and
monitor the work conditions of the unit for at least 24h.
In the event that, for special reasons, for example in the event of a refrige-
rant leak, it is preferable to proceed with a simple refilling of refrigerant, a
slight deterioration of the performance of the unit should be considered.
In all cases the top-up must be carried out in the low pressure section of
the machine before the evaporator, using the pressure sockets; make sure
that the refrigerant is introduced only in the liquid phase.
II.13.8 Restoring compressor oil levele
In models 270÷2100, checking the correct oil level can be verified using
the oil warning light; in the 2115-2130 model the correct oil level is guaran-
teed by the intervention of the oil level sensor;
When the unit is stopped, the oil level in the compressors must partially
cover the warning glass placed on the fixed compressor. The level is not
always constant since it depends on the ambient temperature, the fraction
of refrigerant in solution in the oil and the speed of rotation of the com-
pressor (in the case of an inverter compressor).
With the unit on and in near nominal conditions, the oil level should be
clearly visible through the sight-glass on the level matching tube and must
be flat without any ripples.

Possible oil integration (due to the intervention of the oil sensor for models
270÷2100 or low in the oil sight glass for models 2115-2130) can be made
after the compressors have been vacuumed, using the socket of pressure
located on the suction side. For the quantity and type of oil, refer to the
adhesive plate of the compressor. To perform the oil replenishing opera-
tion, contact the HITECSA service center.
II.13.9 Repairing and replacing components
• Always refer to the electrical diagrams attached to the machine, if a
powered is to be replaced, identifying every conductor that must be di-
sconnected in order to prevent errors during future wiring.
• When the machine is started up again, always go through the recom-
mended start-up procedure.
• After maintenance has been performed on the unit, the liquid-humidity
indicator (LUE) must be under control. After at least 12 hours of operation
of the machine, the cooling circuit must be completely "dry", with green
color of the LUE, otherwise the dehydrating filter must be replaced.
II.13.10 Replacing the drier filter
To replace the filter driers, carry out the depletion and the elimination of
humidity from the refrigeration circuit of the unit thus evacuating also the
refrigerant dissolved in the oil.
Once the filter has been replaced, re-vacuum the circuit to eliminate any
traces of uncondensable gases that can be entered during the replace-
ment operation. It is advisable to check that there are no gas leaks before
restarting the machine for normal working.
Notes
Besides checking the various electrical devices, the
electrical insulation of all the cables and their correct
tightening on the terminal boards must be verified,
paying special attention to the earth connections.
This operation must be carried out by skilled person-
nel of authorised HITECSA workshops, qualified to
operate on this type of products.
Make sure the motors and fan blades are clean and that
there are no abnormal vibrations.
The motor must be kept clean with no traces of dust,
filth, oil or other impurities. These could cause it to
overheat due to low heat dissipation.
The bearings are usually watertight with permanent
lubrication and sized in order to last approximately
20.000 hours in standard operational and environmen-
tal conditions.
This operation must be carried out by skilled person-
nel of authorised HITECSAworkshops, qualified to
operate on this type of products.
The emptying is necessary in case the machine does
not work during the winter season.
Alternatively a glycol mixture can be used according to
the information reported in this manual.
