9.2 Setting the welding parameters
X Set the welding parameters in accordance with the operating instructions of the welding power supply.
9.3 Welding
Prerequisite: Welding power supply connected and ready to operate.
1. Press the START/STOP button to start the welding process.
2. Observe the welding process.
The welding process ends automatically after the gas post purge time has expired.
The electrode returns automatically to the 0-position.

ELEMENT FuNCTION
LED LED flashes in ready-to-weld state.
LED lights up constantly during the welding process.
START
Starts the welding process.
STOP
• Pressing once: Welding process aborts immediately, rotor is stopped and the
gas post purge time is activated.
• Pressing again: Gas post purge time and cooling are stopped.
GAS • Pressing once: Function test of the gas and cooling-liquid supply is started.
• Pressing again: Function test is terminated.
In welding mode or in test mode of the welding power supply pressing and holding
of the button can be used to toggle between both modes.

Pressing and holding: The rotor rotates until it has reached its home position
0­POS
"0-position".
Pressing once: Welding process aborts through controlled lowering.
After the arc has extinguished, the gas post purge time is activated.
MOTOR Pressing and holding: Rotor can be moved manually, for example to set up the
electrode or to check the electrode position.
