VI EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
EN
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for personal harm and/
or damage to objects deriving from incorrect commissioning and/
or by failure to comply with work accident-prevention standards.
This lack of compliance causes the warranty to terminate.
These operations are reserved exclusively for authorised quali-
fied personnel.
Operations concerning the refrigerant circuit must be carried
out exclusively by personnel in possession of certification is-
sued by an accredited body certifying the competence to opera-
te safely with flammable refrigerant gases.
Any maintenance/repair operation concerning the machine must
be carried out under the supervision of an authorized and compe-
tent technician regarding the use of flammable refrigerants.
Before carrying out the operations described below, disconnect
the power supply of the machine, making sure that it can be
restored only with the consent of the personnel working on the
machine.
1
MAINTENANCE AND COMPONENTS REPLACEMENT
When carrying out maintenance operations, equip yourself with
the appropriate personal protective equipment (goggles, safety
shoes, gloves, etc.).
Caution: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit. During mainte-
nance, do not pierce or heat with a flame the refrigerant circuit
at any point or damage the external parts as this could cause
refrigerant gas leaks. In case of damage, do not use until the
machine is completely safe.
When replacing components, request only original compo-
nents. Failure to comply with this requirement may cause in-
juries or damage to the machine and lead to the immediate for-
feiture of the warranty, relieving the manufacturer of any liability
for any direct or indirect damage caused.
The gas in the machine is highly flammable, gas leaks can cau-
se fires. In the event of a leak or suspected leak of gas from the
refrigerating circuit, do not use the machine, disconnect it from
the electrical mains and then place it in a well-ventilated place
without the presence of sources of flame ignition (open flames, gas
burners, electric heaters, lighted cigarettes, mobile phones, etc.). Affix
a warning sign on the machine in a visible position indicating a possi-
ble gas leak and the obligation to keep any source of flame ignition at
a safe distance. Other operators who may be present in the area must
be instructed on the possible source of danger posed by the machine.
contact the authorized technical assistance.
1.1 Refrigerant circuit interventions
Any interventions on the refrigerant circuit must be carried out
in adequately ventilated rooms and without any source of flame
ignition (e.g. open flames, gas burners, electric heaters, lit ciga-
rettes, mobile phones, etc.). If there are sources of ignition that
cannot be eliminated, they must be at a sufficient distance so as not to
constitute a hazard. Ventilation must be sufficient to safely disperse
any refrigerant released from the machine. It is advisable that the room
is equipped with a gas leak detection device of the type suitable for the
type of refrigerant used. Other operators possibly present in the work
area must be instructed on the type of intervention in progress. Have a
dry powder or CO
fire extinguisher available. Any transport must be
2
carried out in accordance with current regulations on the transport of
flammable substances.
In case of search for leaks in the refrigerant circuit, never use
possible sources of ignition of the flame. Only use gas leak
detectors specifically for flammable gases for this purpose.
Any interventions on the refrigerant circuit must be carried out
with all the machine's electrical supplies disconnected. If it is
absolutely essential to maintain the electrical connection during
the intervention, place a gas leak detector in the most critical
points to highlight the occurrence of potentially dangerous situations.
If a leak is detected in the circuit and must be repaired by wel-
ding, it is mandatory, before proceeding, to perform the follo-
wing operations: drain the refrigerant circuit > flush the circuit
with inert gas (nitrogen) > perform the two previous steps a
second time to make sure the circuit is completely drained > drain the
refrigerant circuit > repair/replace component > leak test (p = 10-15
bar) > apply at least "optimum" vacuum using a vacuum pump of ade-
quate capacity and suitable for use with flammable gases category A3
(R290).
During the next recharge make sure that there is no refrigerant conta-
mination.

1.2 Electric circuit checks / interventions
Before proceeding with any intervention concerning the electri-
cal circuit of the machine, disconnect it from the mains.
In case of checks or interventions on the electrical circuit,
avoid compromising the connections and insulation of compo-
nents and wiring. Check that they have not deteriorated due to
aging, corrosion, mechanical stress, etc. Otherwise, do not use
the equipment until the affected parts have been replaced.

LONG WORKING INTERRUPTION
In case of inactivity of the machine for long periods, such as winter closures
etc., It is recommended that an authorized service technician
perform winter storage draining, to insure all water has been removed. This
will guard against freezing and rupturing of the components.
In case of machine inactivity in environments with the possibility of freezing,
it is important to protect the machine with the following precautions:
- Disconnect the water connections
- Relieve pressure on the spring in the water valve
- Use air pressure on the outlet side to blow out any water remaining in the
condenser. Failure to follow this procedure may cause
severe and costly damage to the refrigeration system.

DECOMMISSIONING
In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/
EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE), the presence of the symbol (fig.VI/01)
indicates that the product cannot be treated as
household waste.
The user is responsible for delivering the product
to the appropriate collection facility, as specified
by your local code.
Even packaging materials (crates or boxes) must
be divided by type and disposed of in compliance
with Standards in force in the Country where it is
used when the machine is decommissioned.
The correct disposal of WEEE allows the recovery of the raw ma-
terials contained and the treatment of pollutants, thus avoiding negative
consequences for the environment and human health.
The packaging materials, when taken out of service, must be sorted by type
and disposed of according to the regulations in force in the country of desti-
nation.
For more information about disposal and recycling of this product, please
contact your local authorities.
