4. FUNCTION
The unit is used to supply water to dental treatment units
and in particular to the dental instruments connected to
them.
The system must only be connected to a iM3 bottle.
Another function is to disinfect the waterways in the
dental instrument, including the iM3 Bottle System,
and/or to remove and prevent algae growth, using a
disinfectant solution in the bottle. The bottle is filled with
the appropriate medium (drinking water or disinfection
solution). The system is affixed to a compressed air line
and to the line that provides the treatment unit with
water and then fastened appropriately (see

When unscrewing the bottle, the attached compressed
air line is blocked by a stop valve, which is re-opened
when screwing in the bottle. This makes it easy to change
bottles or to refill the bottle while the unit is operational.
