3 SAFETY AND CONTROL DEVICES

SAFETY THERMOSTAT
The appliance has a manual reset safety thermostat that stops
the heating cycle:
• to prevent the oil from reaching a temperature of 230 °C,
• if the thermostat capillary tube is damaged,
• if the ambient temperature falls below 0 °C,
• if the heating is turned on in conditions of improper use. This
includes without oil in the tank, with oil in the tank but below
the minimum level, with solid grease in the tank, without ha-
ving first activated the "MELTING" cycle.
The display will show "SAFETY THERMOSTAT TRIPPING".
The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage or in-
jury resulting from failure to observe the following rules.
The thermostat may only be reset by an authorised technician
and cannot be tampered with or disabled.
To reset the safety thermostat (fig. B):
• Disconnect the fryer from the power supply.
• Wait for the temperature of the oil inside the tank to fall below
100 °C.
• Open the door.
• Remove the screw on the upper traverse.
• Insert a blunt pin in the screw hole and press the thermostat
reset button.
If the safety thermostat trips again, disconnect the power sup-
ply and contact technical support.
BURNER IGNITION CONTROLLER
Gas heated appliances have a manual reset safety device that
turns the heating off in case of burner ignition issues caused
by:
• Connection to the power supply with inverted poles.
• Wrong gas supply.
• Appliance fault.
The display will show "BURNERS DISABLED".
The safety device can be reset by the user as follows:
• Turn the heating off.
• Turn the heating back on. The safety device will try to ignite
the burners.
If the safety device trips again, disconnect the electric power
supply and contact technical support.

4 DISPOSAL OF PACKAGING AND THE APPLIANCE

PACKAGING
The packaging is made using environmentally friendly mate-
rials. The plastic recyclable components are:
• the transparent cover, the bags containing the instructions
manual and nozzles ( made of polyethylene - PE.).
• the straps (in polypropylene - PP).
APPLIANCE
The appliance is manufactured 90% from recyclable metals
(stainless steel, aluminum sheet, copper.... ).
The appliance must be scrapped in compliance with current
regulations governing such disposal.
• It must be disposed of properly.
• Make the appliance unusable before scrapping.

5 RISKS DUE TO NOISE

• As regards airborne acoustical noise emissions, the A-
weighted sound pressure level is below 70 dB(A).

REMINDERS FOR THE INSTALLER

The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage or in-
jury resulting from failure to observe the following rules.
• Read this manual carefully. It provides important information
for safe installation, use and maintenance of the appliance.
• Installation, conversion to a different type of gas and applian-
ce maintenance must be carried out by qualified technicians
authorized by the manufacturer, in compliance with current
safety standards and the instructions given in this manual.
• Identify the specific appliance model. The model number is
detailed on the packaging and on the appliance data plate.
• The appliance must be installed in a well-ventilated room.
• Do not obstruct any air vents or drains present on the ap-
pliance.
• Do not tamper with appliance components.

6 REFERENCE STANDARDS AND LAWS

Install the appliance in compliance with current safety regula-
tions.

7 HANDLING

The packaging is marked with warning symbols that indicate
the precautions to be taken when handling the appliance to
avoid damage. The appliance must only be handledusing su-
itable equipment. If lifting equipment is used, such as forklift
trucks or similar, make sure that the appliance is in a stable
position.

8 UNPACKING

Check the state of the packaging and in the event of damage,
ask the delivery person to inspect the goods.
• Remove the packaging.
• Remove the protective film from the exterior and interior pa-
nels. Use a suitable solvent to remove any residual adhesive
from the panels.

9 POSITIONING

• The overall dimensions of the appliance and the position of
connections are given on the installation diagram at the start
of this manual.
• The appliance can be installed singly or in combination with
other appliances in the same product range.
• The appliance is not suitable for integrated installation.
• Position the appliance at least 10 cm from adjacent walls.
This distance can be reduced in the presence of non-combu-
stible or heat-insulated walls.
• Level the appliance by means of the height-adjustable feet.
