The pump stops automatically after 7 minutes. The remaining
time is displayed on the top right.
The oil enters the cooking tank from the drain pipe. Filling the
tank will take approximately 5 minutes (the colder the oil, the
longer it will take).
If the time taken is much longer, or filling stops, the hose or the
pipe with handle may be obstructed by food debris. Stop the
pump and disconnect the hose from the fitting. Clean the hose
and the pipe with handle as indicated in "INSTRUCTIONS FOR
CLEANING - HOSE AND PIPE WITH HANDLE".
To stop the pump at any time touch "STOP".
• Wait until the tank is full and then stop the pump.
• Disconnect the pipe with handle from the hose.
• Disconnect the hose from the fryer, close it and store it on its
support (6) on the door.
• Connect the tray suction pipe to its fitting (A).
Filling the tank with solidified grease
The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage or in-
jury resulting from failure to observe the following rules.
Check that the tank is clean and dry.
Do not place a full block of solidified grease at the top of the
tank (gas models), or right on top of the heating element (elec-
tric models).
Select MELTING (fig. 5) before turning the heating on. WAR-
NING: danger of fire.
• Open the door.
• Close the drain valve by pushing its handle to the end.
• Remove the baskets from the tank, as well as the basket sup-
port mesh and the basket supports (automatic lifting models).
• Lift the heating element (electric models).
• Place the solidified grease at the bottom of the tank and
press.
• Add more grease and press until the minimum level mark is
reached (gas models).
• Lower the heating element and then add and press further
grease around and above the heating element until the mini-
mum level mark is reached (electric models).
• After the grease has melted, add further solidified grease to
the correct level.
Emptying the tank to an external container (fig. D).
Turn the heating off before emptying the tank.
Only empty the tank when the oil temperature is below 40 °C.
WARNING: danger of burns.
• Turn the heating off (instructions in the "TURNING THE HE-
ATING OFF" section).
• Open the door.
• Lift the drain elbow pipe (if present) and attach the extension
pipe (4) to the drain valve. Direct the end elbow pipe down.
• Place a container suitable for receiving the oil (or the cleaning
water) underneath the extension pipe bent end section.
• Open the drain valve by slowly pulling its handle to the end
(1). The oil (or cleaning water) will start to come out from the
elbow pipe. WARNING: danger of contact with hot oil.
• Wait until the cooking tank is empty (or the container is full)
and close the drain valve by pushing its handle to the end.
Emptying the tank content in the filtration tank (oil filtra-
tion) (fig. A)
Turn the heating off before emptying the tank.
Only empty the oil in the filtration tank (7) if the filtration tank is
in the correct position.
Do not empty if the tank oil level is more than 2 cm above the
maximum level indicated by the top mark at the back of the
tank, or if more than 1 litre of oil is already in the filtration tank.
The oil may spill out from the filtration tank and on the floor.
WARNING: risk of slipping and falling with possible se-
rious or lethal injuries.
Only empty if both filters (8 and 9) are in their correct positions.
Otherwise, food debris in the oil will end up at the bottom of the
filtration tank, therefore preventing the oil from returning to the
cooking tank (instructions in the "Returning the filtered oil to the
cooking tank" section").
• Turn the heating off (instructions in the "TURNING THE HE-
ATING OFF" section).
• Open the door.
• Open the drain valve by slowly pulling its handle to the end
(1). The oil will pass through the 2 filters (8 and 9), and into
the filtration tank (7).
SWITCHING ON THE CONTROL PANEL
To switch on the control panel connect the fryer to the electric
power supply. WARNING: if present, the lifting devices will
move up.
After about 15 seconds the display will show the main screen
as in fig. 1.
TURNING THE HEATING ON/OFF (fig. 1)
ON
Do not turn the heating on when there is no oil or fat in the tank,
or when the oil or fat level is below the minimum level mark
found at the back of the tank.
When the fryer is on, the oil level must always be at or above
the minimum level mark indicated at the back of the tank.
If the tank is filled with solidified grease, select "MELTING" (fig.
5) before turning the heating on. Keep this setting until the gre-
ase has fully melted. WARNING: danger of fire.To turn the
heating on, press and hold "OIL HEATING ON-OFF" for at least
2 seconds. The display will be as shown in fig. 2.
WARNING: If the display shows "SAFETY THERMOSTAT
TRIPPING", disconnect the electric power supply and con-
tact technical support.
In case of gas heating appliances, if the "BURNERS DISA-
BLED" message appears on the display, turn the heating off
and then back on again. If the message appears again, discon-
nect the electric power supply and contact technical support.
When the heating is on, the top of the display shows the fla-
me symbol (see fig. 2, item 7). The set cooking temperature is
shown at the top of the display (fig. 2, item 7). To change the set
cooking temperature, open the drop-down menu and use the
bar or the arrow keys (fig. 4, items 5 and 6).
NOTE - When the oil temperature is below 80 °C or near
the set cooking temperature, the heating power is reduced
automatically.
