ELECTRIC FRYERS

The heating element does not heat
Possible causes:
• Heating element faulty.
• Electronic controller (Base or Display board) faulty.
• Safety thermostat tripping.

16 REPLACING COMPONENTS

REMINDERS FOR REPLACING COMPONENTS.

• Disconnect the appliance electrical power supply, if present,
before proceeding with any operation.
• After replacing a gas system component, check for gas leaks
at connection points.
• After replacing an electrical system component, check it is
correctly wired.

GAS / ELECTRIC FRYERS (applicable to both)

Replacing the electronic controller (Base or Display bo-
ard), the fan or the fuses.
• Remove the control panel.
• Remove and replace the component.
• Reinstall all parts. Follow the removal procedure in the re-
verse order.
Replacing the temperature probe and the safety thermo-
stat.
• Empty all the oil from the tank.
• Remove the control panel and the front panel.
• Remove and replace the component.
• Replace the tank probe/bulb seal OR.
• Reinstall all parts. Follow the removal procedure in the re-
verse order.
Replacing the oil pump and the oil solenoid valve.
• Remove the control panel.
• Remove and replace the component.
• Reinstall all parts. Follow the removal procedure in the re-
verse order.
Replacing the linear actuator, the control relay and the 24V
power supply
• Remove the rear panel.
• Remove and replace the component.
• Reinstall all parts. Follow the removal procedure in the re-
verse order.

GAS FRYERS

Replacing the ignition controller, the gas valve, the main
burner and the ignition / detection spark plug.
• Remove the control panel.
• Remove and replace the component.
• Reinstall all parts. Follow the removal procedure in the re-
verse order.
ELECTRIC FRYERS
Replacing the heating element
• Remove the control panel and the front panel.
• Remove and replace the component.
• Reinstall all parts. Follow the removal procedure in the re-
verse order.

17 CLEANING THE INTERIOR

• Check the condition of the inside of the appliance.
• Remove any built-up dirt.
• Check and clean the fumes exhaust system.
