19. Fault clearance
If the above measures do not lead to a remedying
of the fault, fault clearance should be undertaken as
described in the following. The blade terminal fuse
described in the chapter is located in the E-box.
F 39 64 243 R
Take 20 A blade terminal fuse out of the blade
terminal fuse holder. After waiting for at least 10
seconds, put blade terminal fuse in again.
F 39 64 244 R
After waiting for at least 10 seconds put parking
heater into operation with timer or Telestart hand
transmitter.
F 39 64 245 R
After waiting for 3 - 10 seconds, take 20 A blade
terminal fuse out of the blade terminal fuse holder.
F 39 64 246 R
After waiting for at least 30 seconds switch off
parking heater with timer or Telestart hand
transmitter.
F 39 64 247 R
Insert 20 A blade terminal fuse in blade terminal
fuse holder again.
F 39 64 244 R
After waiting for at least 10 seconds put parking
heater into operation with timer or Telestart hand
transmitter.
20. Maintenance of the heater
The parking heater should be checked by a BMW
service centre at regular intervals or at the latest
at the beginning of the period when the parking
heater will normally be in use.
Note the operating instructions in the
instruction manual.
To avoid starting problems as a result of operating
the park heating, we recommend that the vehicle
is driven daily for 15 - 20 km so that the vehicle
battery gets sufficiently recharged.
