Manual selection of the balancing
program
i Static balancing is recommended for wheels with
a width of less than 3.5". In this case, only the rim
diameter value is entered.
i To correctly function the program, make sure that the
values entered for the distance and width, are greater
than 0.
1. Check and if necessary alter the currently selected
vehicle type (passenger vehicle, motorcycle or com-
mercial vehicle) in the display.
i The vehicle type is changed by pressing the <ALU>
key until the desired type of vehicle appears.
The vehicle type selected appears on the display.
2. Check and if necessary change the currently select-
ed balancing program in the display.
i Pressing the <ALU> key calls up the balancing pro-
grams menu. By pressing the <ALU> key again it is
possible to scroll through the balancing programs
menu.
i The Pax, Static or Alu symbol also lights depending
on the balancing program selected.
" The locations of the balancing planes for each balanc-
ing program are displayed through the LEDs.
i The balancing plane is the plane to application of the
counterbalance or, simply, balancing weight.
i By convention, the Plane/internal weight is that
closest to the object holder tray; vice-versa, the
Plane/external weight is always the farthest from the
object holder tray.
i When a PAX balancing program is selected, the Pax
LED (Fig. 36, pos. 5) also lights up.
