13. Maintenance
13.1

Cleaning and servicing

! Before cleaning and servicing, switch off
MERCURE 200 and disconnect mains plug.
! Do not use any solvent-based cleaning agents. Use
alcohol or similar cleaning agents for plastic parts.
The following work is essential to ensure proper opera-
tion and high performance of the MERCURE 200:
Servicing
Clean moving mechanical parts, treat with spray oil
or kerosene and lubricate with engine oil or a suit-
able grease.

Flange calibration.

MERCURE 200 calibration.
Calibrating the electronic vernier caliper
Perform reference measurement.
i Calibration is described in Section 13.3
i As part of service and upkeep (every six months),
on flange replacement or in the event of measure-
ment inaccuracies, it is advisable to calibrate the
MERCURE 200 in the following sequence.
13.2

Spare and wearing parts

The manufacturer cannot accept any liability for
damage arising from the use of non-genuine replace-
ment parts.

i As part of service and upkeep (every six months),
on flange replacement or in the event of measure-
ment inaccuracies, it is advisable to calibrate the
MERCURE 200 in the following sequence:
1. Flange calibration.
2. MERCURE 200 calibration.
3. Perform reference measurement.
13.3.1
i Sound and automatic start are active in the following
description (refer to Section 11).
1. Press and hold the <MENU> key.
2. As soon as CAL appears on the left-hand display,

release the <MENU> key.
3. Press the <OPERATOR> key within 1.5 seconds.

1. Fit the flange (refer to Section 5).
i Do not attach a wheel, do not use any clamping
tools.
2. Call up the calibration menu (refer to Section 13.3.1)
 The left-hand display shows C-1.
3. Close the wheel guard.
 Measurement commences.
i The unbalance measured is stored on completion of
measurement.
 Electronic compensation is provided for any resid-
ual shaft unbalance.
