A third laser trace indicates the exact position of the focal ridge of the unit. To
move it, act on the RH/LH offset buttons
For good focus, let this trace match with the cusp of the upper cranium, as
shown in the graph on the side of the X-ray generator (see figure 5 and figure
8).
This procedure brings the apexes of the upper central incisors within the focal
ridge.
Carefully follow the "general warnings" at the beginning of section 5.4.
The undernose support to be used for this group of examinations is shown in
figure 1, while the chin rest shown in figure 2 must be removed.
Loosen the knobs that lock the chin rest support and remove it. Re-tighten
the knob to lock the undernose support.
Guide the patient towards the unit so that he/she is in front of the undernose
support and can grasp the large handles. The operator and the patient face
each other.

the undernose support is at the height of the base of the nose.
The telescopic column moves slowly at first and then picks up speed.
Ask the patient to move forward, hold onto the grips and then take one more
step to reach the position shown in figure 3.
At this point, have the patient rest the base of his/her nose on the undernose
support as shown in figure 4.
