Raise the presser foot lifter.
Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest
position by turning the handwheel
counterclockwise
reDraw the end of the thread with your left hand
and hold the spool with your right hand as
shown and place it around the upper thread
guide.

[_]While holding the thread near the spool, draw
the end of the thread down around the thread
guide plate.

[]Firmly draw up the thread up from right to left
over the take-up lever, and down into the thread
take-up eye,,
