Delete: Deletes the single job record that is currently
highlighted.
Delete selection: Deletes all highlighted job records.
Deleted job records can not be restored!
Databank management: Lets you return to the overview
in the databank menu.
Customer records: Shows all customers, which whom
there were job records created in the past. Each record
contains customer info, like address, phone number,...
Double-clicking the entry lets you view / edit / delete the
customer record.
Vehicle record: Shows all vehicles which have been
saved, with their relevant information, like licence plate
number, VIN, databank code,...
Double-clicking the entry lets you view / edit / delete the
vehicle record.

Changing job records

Depending on the settings described in 5.2.5, you can modify the
results on saved job records. Normally, this should not be re-
quired.
Results of a job record
Modify: once you entered the job record and chnaged
to the page with the results, click on this button. Use the
mouse or the keys (TAB), (z), (v), (o), (u). Modify
the values that you wish to change. After all changes are
done. The colour of the values (green / red) will change
depending on the specs.
Save the changes with this button.

Demo mode

To get familiar with the software and its functions, it is possible to
run it in demo mode on any PC, without a real aligner being
connected and without the need for a car to measure.
From the start screen, click
ches the system into demo mode. This one will be indicated
throughout the program by the black on red car symbol at the right
bottom of the screen.
Exactly the same way, you can return to ‚live mode', but this makes
only sense if there is a system connected.
In demo mode, the values do not come from the robots, but are
being simultated. You can show the complete software procedu-
re. Try to change the values by using the keys Q, W, E, R, A, S, D,
F on the keyboard.
Furthermore, you will find a video presentation of the whole
procedure on the system software CD ( 1 987 009 AS6N ). It
shows as well the different software screens, and what happens
on the lift. Browse the directory \movies on the CD. The video files
in there can be viewed in Windows Media Player.

Functional check

In the time between maintenance / calibrations, you can always
verify the overall condition of the system. In day-to-day operation,
it is recommended to always keep an eye on how the steering
wheel is while the car is driving straight, before putting the car on
the lift. During measurement, you can compare it to the position
when the two individual front toe values are exactly identical.

Should this not be the case, this would indicate that the ‚internal
calibration' of the probe is no longer ok. As long as the two
steering wheel positions are identical, you can assume that the
probes are ok.
It is also possible to validate the overall calibration, by doing a
crosscheck verification with a car. This is how to do that:
- It is recommended to use a relatively new car with only very little
toe play. Do a full measurement with runout compensation. Mark
the job record with the comment ‚Forward', and print it out.
