ATTENTION
This manual must accompany the ma-
chine and must be shown to all persons
having anything to do with the machine.
Do not use fabric conditioners or detergents
unless recommended by their manufactur-
ers.
7.6 PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT IN-
STRUCTIONS
Do not leave the machine in a state of op-
erative readiness without reason.
Turn off the master switch, hit the emer-
gency switch, and close the gate valves on
the gas or steam and condensation lines
when the machine is not being used.
Pay close attention to the following items
during operation:
ATTENTION
Do not touch parts heated by hot air, such
as fume discharge pipes, the door glass,
the cover panel, or the upper section of
the rear panel. After the cycle ends, these
parts take 30 minutes to cool down and
thus remain hot for a long time.
A lock has not been provided on the door
because of its large size, which allows per-
sons to enter the drum. The door is designed
to be opened from the inside with a moder-
ately strong push.
For this reason, when drying particularly
bulky laundry, the door may have to be held
closed by hand in order to start the machine.
If the power fails during operation, open the
door and the filter access door.
Before performing cleaning or maintenance
operations on the machine, make sure the
master switch is shut off and close the gate
valves on the gas or steam and condensa-
tion lines.
Do not load the machine with laundry that
has been cleaned, moistened, washed or
spotted with inflammable or explosive sub-
stances. Wash such laundry before attempt-
ing to dry it.
Before operating the machine, read the in-
structions to prevent injury or damage to
persons or property.
7.7 INFORMATION ON SPECIAL OPER-
ATING AND SAFETY SYSTEMS
During the first few hours of operation,
check for the following:
The operator must be able to see and reach
the control panel comfortably. If necessary,
provide a suitable, moveable platform.
The drum must be unloaded into a cart that
is lower than the lower edge of the door.
If necessary, install a bumper on the sides
and front of the machine to prevent carts
from hitting it.
When running the first load, use rags that
may be soiled with the lubricants applied at
the factory.
7.8 REGULAR MAINTENANCE PER-
FORMED BY THE OPERATOR
BEFORE PERFORMING MAINTE-
NANCE OPERATIONS ON THE MA-
CHINE, MAKE SURE THE MASTER
SWITCH IS SHUT OFF AND CLOSE
THE GATE VALVES ON THE GAS OR
STEAM AND CONDENSATION LINES.
Regularly wash the cover panels with a
damp cloth. Never use abrasive or inflam-
mable cleaning agents.
Never use sprays of water to clean the
machine.
Using a vacuum cleaner, clean the inside of
the drum and the opening at the bottom of
the front panel (below the filter access door)
as thoroughly as possible.
Open the filter access door and check the
condition of the filter.
Remove the filter and clean the suction fan.
ATTENTION
Be sure the fan motor has stopped before
performing this operation.
BEFORE TURNING ON THE MASTER
SWITCH, PUT ANY PANELS YOU
HAVE REMOVED BACK INTO THEIR
ORIGINAL POSITIONS.
