If the laundry comes out too dry, check
for the following:
- The laundry loaded into the machine was
less moist than usual.
- The selected cycle is correct (time, tem-
perature and parameters) for the laundry
being dried.
- The quantity of laundry loaded into the
drum is the amount indicated on the iden-
tification plate.
- The steam pressure is sufficient.
IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS AFTER
THESE
ITEMS
HAVE
CHECKED OR CORRECTED, CALL
AN AUTHO-RISED SERVICE CEN-
TRE OR OUR DEALER (SEE THE
LAST PAGE OF THIS MANUAL).

8.2 SAFETY SYSTEMS

- If the power fails during an operating cy-
cle, the START button must be pressed
to restart the machine when the power is
restored.
- A sensor signals when the door or filter
access door is open.
- A sensor signals when the suction level
is insufficient.
- A flame detector shuts off gas flow if the
flame goes out.
- Thermal safety switches inside the mo-
tors shut down the machine if the motors
overheat.
- Alarms signal malfunctions (see the sec-
tions entitled "Alarms", "Operation").
8.3 REGULAR MAINTENANCE TO BE
PERFORMED BY TECHNICAL PER-
SONNEL
BEFORE PERFORMING MAINTE-
NANCE OPERATIONS ON THE MA-
CHINE, MAKE SURE THE MASTER
SWITCH IS SHUT OFF AND CLOSE
THE GATE VALVES ON THE GAS OR
STEAM
AND
CONDEN-SATION
LINES.
All maintenance operations must be per-
formed by qualified personnel or by serv-
ice centres that are authorised by our deal-
ers.
While working on the machine, do not de-
activate any safety systems for any rea-
son. Use original replacement parts. If you
are unsure about anything regarding the
machine, promptly call our technical office.
Be sure to have the model and serial number
handy; this information can be read off the
identification plate on the rear of the ma-
chine.
MONTHLY INSPECTION
Check all safety systems.
Safety thermostat TS1
Make sure the safety thermostat is in per-
fect condition and functions correctly. If
such is not the case, replace the thermostat
immediately.
This operation must be performed only by
qualified personnel. Do not attempt to "do-
it-yourself".
The gate valves must shut off the flow of
gas or steam and condensation. To verify
that the gate valves operate properly, start
the machine and close the gate valves. Now,
make sure that the flame goes out; or, if the
BEEN
machine is heated by steam, make sure the
temperature is not rising by checking for
condensation flow on the detector.
The machine must shut down when the
emergency button is pressed.
When the door is opened, the drum must
stop.
The machine must shut down when the fil-
te
r access door is opened.
ANNUAL INSPECTION
Connect a grease gun to the fittings on the
bearing housings and grease the bearings.
Check the condition of the belts and adjust
the tension or replace the belts as needed.
Make sure that the screws in the electrical
power connections on the remote control
switches and on the power feed terminal
board are tight.
Carefully clean the fins on the heating ele-
ments, the steam array, or the gas burners.
Do not use strong chemicals or detergents.
Check safety equipment such as the ground
connection and the differential safety
switch.
Clean the fume discharge pipe and central
air duct.
BEFORE TURNING ON THE MASTER
SWITCH OR OPENING THE GATE
VALVES ON THE GAS OR STEAM AND
CONDENSATION LINES, PUT ANY
PANELS YOU HAVE REMOVED BACK
INTO THEIR ORIGINAL POSITIONS.
8.4 IDENTIFYING AND ORDERING
REPLACEMENT PARTS
To identify the codes on replacement parts,
write to the dealer regarding the parts you
need. In the letter, describe the part and its
function, and indicate whether it has an
identification plate. Be sure to include the
model, serial number, operating voltage and
frequency of the machine.
9. INSTRUCTIONS ON TAKING THE
MACHINE OUT OF SERVICE, DISMAN-
TLING IT AND DISPOSING OF IT
If you decide to take the machine out of
service, it should be rendered inoperative
and disposed of properly. Consult the para-
graph entitled, "Limitations, Prohibitions
and Improper Uses of the Machine". In
any case, remove the door and the filter ac-
cess door. Seal the fume exhaust duct, seal
the outlets from the gas or steam and con-
densation lines, remove the electric power
cable from the master switch and close the
cable clamp if installed.
In conformance with regulations on the dis-
posal of waste in individual countries, and
to respect the environment in which we live,
please divide the machine into its compo-
nent parts so they can be disposed of sepa-
rately and recycled properly, if possible.
All component parts of the machine consti-
tute solid urban waste except for the metal
parts, which - in any event - are not classi-
fied as special waste in most European
countries.
INFORMATION TO USERS
pursuant to article 13 of law decree 25 July
2005, nr. 151 relating to
"Implementation of Directives 2002/95/EC,
2002/96/EC and 2003/108/EC concerning
the reduction in the use of hazardous
substances in electric and electronic
apparatus, as well as waste disposal"
The deleted dustbin symbol on the
appliance indicates the product must be
disposed of separate from other wastes
once it reaches the end of its life cycle.
Once the appliance has reached the end of
its life cycle, the user must therefore take
it to a suitable pre-sorted waste centre for
electronic
appliances, or return it to the dealer on
purchasing a new similar appliance, on a
one for one basis.
Adequate pre-sorted waste collection
before subsequently sending the appliance
for
environmentally compatible disposal helps
avoid possible negative effects on the
environment and health and favours the
recycling of the materials making up the
appliance.
Unlawful disposal of the product by the
user is punishable by the administrative
sanctions indicated in law decree nr.
22/1997 (article 50 and following articles
of law decree nr. 22/1997)
