4.1.6.1.1. Air filter and pre-filter

The engine intake air is filtered by a replaceable element made of high density paper and by a foam pre-filter soaked in oil.
Check that the air filter system is not clogged and there is no debris accumulated around it. Ensure this part of the engine is kept
clean.
Note: If the engine is left to operate when an air filter component is loose or damaged, there is a risk that unfiltered air can enter
the engine and it will become prematurely worn and, eventually, break down.
