4.1 Electrical connection / disconnection

4.1.1 Electrical connection

Warning:
 Use the power cord supplied by manufacturer to connect the pump to the AC
power source.
 Position the device so that the AC power source is readily accessible.
4. Install securely the pump on the pole of an infusion stand close to the bedside.
5. Plug the appliance connector of the power cord firmly into the power inlet at the back of the
pump.
6. Plug the mains plug of the power cord into the electrical outlet of the AC power source.
Information:
 The pump will not be switched on automatically when it is connected to the
AC power source.
 To switch on the pump, press and hold
bright.
 Once the AC power is connected:
4.1.2 Electrical disconnection
Unplug the power cord to disconnect the AC power source.
Information:
 The power indicator will be turned off when disconnected from the AC power
source.
 The pump will not be switched off automatically when it is disconnected from
the AC power source if it is on. Instead the pump switches to use internal
battery power.
 To switch off the pump, press and hold
4.2 Operating on battery
The pump is equipped with an internal rechargeable Li-ion polymer battery in case of mains power
cuts. The battery life is approximately 8 hours when fully charged running at a rate of 5ml/h or at
any rates lower.
- The AC power indicator on the front panel lights up.
- The internal battery is being charged.
