Battery Precautions - Diemer P1800 RIDICON Manual

Information:
 Before start for the first time, fully charge the battery by connecting the device
to the AC power source without switching on the device for approximately 10
hours.
Warning:
 The internal battery must be present and connected properly in the pump.
Otherwise the pump activates the "No Battery" alarm after connecting to AC
power source (see Chapter 6 "Alarms" for details).

4.2.1 Battery precautions

Danger:
 Li-Ion batteries are more sensitive to physical stress. Improper handling of
the pump or battery may cause battery overheating, smoke, explosion or fire,
which could result in deterioration of performance, failure, damage to the
equipment or injury to the user.
Warning:
 Battery use time depends on the flow rate and other factors. When there is
"Battery low" alarm, please be sure to connect the AC power to recharge the
battery.
 Do not use the battery more than 2 years, before replace the battery, please
contact with manufacturer firstly.
 Do not recharge the battery other than in the device.
 Do not let a battery come in contact with metal objects, such as coins, keys or
jewelry. Metal objects can short the battery terminals and cause an incident.
 Do not let a battery get wet due to the fact that the battery contacts or circuitry
could slowly corrode and pose a safety hazard.
 Do not let a battery get close to areas that may get very hot, such as on or near
a heater, cooking appliance, soldering iron or radiator.
 Do not drop, crush, puncture or put a high degree of pressure on the battery, as
this can cause an internal short-circuit, resulting in overheating.
 Do not use a battery if it is suspected to have been damaged.
 Do not replace by a battery other than that delivered by manufacturer.
4.2.2 Battery operating mode
When the pump is switched on and operates on the battery, the battery symbol is displayed in
one of the 4 forms, representing one of the 4 battery modes.

The symbol contains three (3)
rectangles. From left to right is
green, yellow and red 。
