To ensure correct switching between the red and green lights on traffi c light units, the output must
have a switching relay (e.g. NET-EXPANSION outputs). The N.C. contact of the relay controls the red
light, while the N.O. contact controls the green light. If the output is not of this type but is digital, it
can be used to control traffi c lights through an additional switching relay (not supplied).
With the automation closed and/or the motors moving, or during the pre-manoeuvre fl ashing,
the traffi c light is red. The traffi c light turns green only once the opening manoeuvre has been
completed. During a position reset procedure (stop/limit switch search), any traffi c light remains
red until the manoeuvre has ended.
Use the OPEN command to open the automation, set the automatic closing TCA [P041 (NET
control units) / tI.01 (EVO control units)]. All traffi c lights will work simultaneously in the same way
by following the general behaviour described above.
Use the OPEN_INT and OPEN_EXT commands on the opposite sides of the gate. Determine the
time required for completing the full path between the 2 traffi c lights (clearance time). Set an
automatic closing time TCA equal to double the required clearance time.
The traffi c lights will behave as follows:
With the automation closed both traffi c lights will be red. When a command is received from
a direction (INT or EXT), it becomes a "priority". At the end of the opening manoeuvre, only the
corresponding "priority" traffi c light (EXT or INT) turns green, the other one stays red. In the
absence of other commands, the "priority" traffi c light stays green for half the TCA and then turns
red. At the end of the TCA, the automation closes.
If, while the "priority" traffi c light is green, new commands arrive from the same direction, the TCA
is reloaded and then the green light. Any command in the opposite direction is recorded and put
in stand-by. This prevents the formation of any vehicle codes.
Once the "priority" traffi c light turns red, both traffi c lights remain red for the time required
(TCA/2) to clear the access point. At this point, the command previously recorded on the opposite
side becomes the "priority" causing its traffi c light to turn green and the TCA to restart.
Output for monitoring a few of the automation's statuses (see parameters Io.60 and Io.61). N.O.
contact: closes when the monitored status occurs.
* Please note: for certain automation statuses to be monitored, it is necessary to have wired and
correctly functioning limit switches.

Activates after blackout or control board reset and RESP not completed.
RESP_FIX
Fixed output
Activates after blackout or control board reset and RESP not completed.
RESP_INT
Intermittent output
Activates if the door is not closed after the duration set in the tI.19 parameter.
If the automation subsequently completes the closing manoeuvre, the
output deactivates.
