USE AND MAINTENANCE
CAUSES
Incorrect connection to 3-point hitch.
Lifting height too high
Machine tilts too far forwards or backwards
during work.
Work depth too deep.
Rotation frequency of machine too high.
Ground speed too fast.
Front or rear levelling bar incorrectly positio-
ned.
Excessive build-up of vegetation around knives.
Ground speed too fast.
Rotation rate of machine too low.
Levelling bar not fi tted.
Rotation rate of machine too high.
Ground speed too slow.
Rear levelling bar too low.
Harrow rotation speed too fast.
Levelling bar installed behind in wet conditions.
Scrapers mounted badly or too worn.
Scrapers clogged with plant residues.
Scraper crosspiece badly positioned.
Sandy soil.
Wet conditions.
Excessive load on roller (built-in seeding attach-
ment).
REMEDIES
1)
Position the 3rd point parallel to the lower lifting
links.
2)
Limit the lifting travel.
If the problem persists, disengage the PTO when
lifting.
1)
Lengthen or shorten the 3rd point so as to set
the machine horizontal in the work position (the
tractor's PTO and the machine must be sensibly
parallel to each other).
1)
Reduce the work depth by adjusting the roller.
Do not work deeper than necessary.
2)
Reduce the rotation rate of the gearbox (op-
tional gears).
3)
Reduce the ground speed.
4)
Raise or remove the levelling bar.
1)
Remove the residues.
2)
Reduce the ground speed.
3)
Increase the rotation rate of the optional ge-
arbox.
4)
Mount the levelling bar.
1) Reduce the rotation rate of the gearbox (optional
gears).
2)
Increase the ground speed.
3)
Raise or remove the rear levelling bar.
1)
Reduce the rotation rate.
1)
Use knives with hard facings.
1)
Raise the levelling bar.
1)
Remove the levelling bar.
1)
Adjust the roller scrapers in a better way.
Use coated scrapers if the wear is too evident.
2)
Clean the scrapers by turning them.
3)
The scraper crosspiece must always be turned
forwards. Wear must only be recovered by the
sliding movement of the scrapers.
1)
Slightly lengthen the 3rd point.
1)
Reduce the ground speed.
1)
Use a larger diameter roller if necessary (when
possible)..
1)
Disassemble the additional tubes of the cage
roller.
2)
Use a Packer roller.
