4.6 Adjusting the clearance of the decompression arm

The oil injection pump was adjusted and checked before delivery. If a new
adjustment is required , this will be performed on a special test bench for oil
injection pumps.
4.6 Adjusting the clearance of the decompression arm
Turn the crankshaft to the first stop position of the first piston cylinder, when
the scale "0" of the wheel of crankshaft belt exactly points to the indicator on
the timing gear cover. Insert the thick and thin separators, respectively, the
intake valves and exhaust air of the first cylinder and the rocker; check and
adjust the clearance between the valves and maintain the space in the
correct value. Then, according to the work order of the cylinders rotate half
the crankshaft and adjust the clearance between the valves.

5. Diesel engine construction

5.1 Cylinder head

The cylinder head is made of cast iron (copper chrome). Fix it on the cylinder
body with bolts. When tightening the bolts a torque wrench to adjust the order
shown in Figure 4 is used, and the force required for adjustment is achieved.
After assembling and warm up for the first time the cylinder head, all head bolts
must be readjusted again and should adjust the valve clearance again.
