• Remove the fixing screw 1 from the edge cover of
the empty filter, remove the edge cover of the empty
filter, and you can see the paper filter core 2.
• Removal of paper filter core.
• Replacement of new paper filter core.
• Install the cleaned air filter elements in the
reverse order removed.
It must be confirmed that the air filter elements are
installed firmly in their original position and are prop-
erly sealed.
Warning
The filter core of the air filter forbids cleaning
(including the inability to blow dust with com-
pressed air). Any cleaning may cause the filter
core function to degrade and damage the engine.
The filter core is replaced for each driving 7000km
of the vehicle.
Replacing the paper filter core must not let the filter
core be stained with oil or water, otherwise it will
make the filter core block and fail. It is recom-
mended that you hand over the work to the motor-
cycle distributor to complete the work.
Caution
If the motorcycle is driving in a more humid or
dusty environment than usual, or according to
other driving conditions, it is necessary to shorten
the interval period of filter core replacement, such
as filter core blockage, breakage, ash penetration,
obvious engine power decline, fuel consumption
increase and so on, it is necessary to replace the
filter core immediately, cannot wait until the main-
tenance time to deal with.
Starting the engine without installing an empty filter
will cause dust to carry on the cylinder and dam-
age the engine.
