NOTE GENERALI SULLA REVISIONE
DEI COMPONENTI DEL MOTORE
Pulizia dei particolari
Tutti i particolari metallici devono essere puliti con un ade-
guato solvente per pulizia ed asciugati con getto di aria
compressa.
Durante questa operazione, possono generarsi va-
pori infiammabili e particelle di metallo possono es-
sere espulse ad elevata velocità, si raccomanda per-
tanto di operare in un ambiente privo di fiamme libe-
re o scintille, con l'uso di occhiali protettivi.
Accoppiamenti
Per consentire al motore di funzionare nelle migliori condi-
zioni, con il massimo rendimento, è indispensabile che tutti
gli accoppiamenti rientrino nelle tolleranze prescritte dalla
Moto Morini S.p.A. Un accoppiamento "stretto" può cau-
sare dannosi e pericolosi grippaggi. Un accoppiamento "lar-
go", può causare fastidiose vibrazioni ed accelerare l'usu-
ra delle parti mobili.
Guarnizioni
Ad ogni revisione del motore, sostituire sempre ogni tipo
di guarnizione. Dopo il rimontaggio di anelli di tenuta
O-ring e paraoli, lubrificare con olio motore.
Anelli di arresto (seeger)
È buona norma sostituire tutti gli anelli di arresto che han-
no perduto parte della loro elasticità originale. Gli anelli di
arresto dispongono di un lato con spigolo vivo, il quale
deve essere montato dalla parte opposta dell'elemento che
si deve arrestare.
Piastrine di arresto - Le piastrine di arresto dei dadi, tra-
mite piegatura dei lembi, devono essere sostituite ad ogni
intervento di rimozione delle stesse.
Applicazione di "LOCTITE" - Prima di applicare questi
prodotti, sgrassare opportunamente le parti da trattare, con
prodotto indicato a lato dell'operazione descritta.
Cuscinetti
Verificare sempre lo stato di usura dei cuscinetti, manual-
mente con il cuscinetto montato nella propria sede. Ruota-
re l'anello interno in entrambi i sensi: deve ruotare dolce-
mente e silenziosamente, senza impuntamenti; in caso
contrario, rimuoverlo e sostituirlo.

GENERAL NOTES ON THE OVERHAUL
OF THE ENGINE COMPONENTS
Cleaning the parts
All metal parts must be cleaned with a suitable cleaning
solvent and dry by blowing compressed air.
The described operation may generate flamable
fumes and some metal particles muy be ejected
at a high speed, always carry out the indicated
operation in an environment free from bare flames
or sparks and always wear protective googles.
Couplings
In order to ensure that the engine can work in the suitable
conditions, thus ensuring its best performance, it is
necessary that all the coupling values are within the
tolerance values indicated by Moto Morini S.p.A. An
"excessively tightened" coupling may cause the component
to seize. A "too loose". coupling may cause vibrations and
make the movable components wear faster.
Gaskets
When overhauling the engine, always replace all the
gaskets. After reassembling the o-rings and the oil
seals, lubricate the engine oil.
Stop rings (circlip)
We suggest replacing all the stop rings that seems to be
less elastic that they originally were The stop rings have
a sharp edge that must be assembled on the opposite of
the components to be stopped.
Locking plates - Always replace the plates locking the
nuts, with the bent edges, after removing them.
Apply 'LOCTITE' - Before applying this kind of product,
degrease with care the parts to be treated by means of the
product indicated beside the indicated operations.
Bearings
Always check the bearings for wear by hand with the
bearing still assembled to the housing. Rotate the inside
ring to both directions. and make sure that it turns easily
and without noise or hard spots. Otherwise, remove and
replace it.
