The following buttons allow the operator to move parts of the unit. When these buttons are used, the operator must:

- OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Description
A) This button is used to select the type of procedure to be performed by first choosing
the group to which the procedure belongs (pan, tmj, sin and CEPH for only series X7)
and then selecting the specific procedure by scrolling the list with keys + or -. The indica-
tor on the left side of the screen beside the procedures available shows the procedure
currently selected. Press the button again to change the selection.
B) This button is used to change automatic selections made by hyperion as they regard
the patient size and technical factors (kV, mA, sec) highlighting the selected factor. Use
the relative key (+ or -) to make the required changes. The item selected can also be
changed by pressing the button again. In addition, the initial settings can be restored by
selecting "auto" and pressing the edit button (+ or -).
Edit button used to select the previous program if a procedure has been selected.
On the other hand, if a technical factor is selected, press this button to decrease it.

Closely monitor the patient and immediately let go of the button to stop movement if
there is a risk of the device hitting the patient.
Prevent the patient from assuming incorrect positions (putting hands or other body parts
in inappropriate areas) or moving out of the examination area.
Button used to move up hyperion along the vertical axis.
It moves up 1 mm when the button is pressed once.
If the button is held down, the unit moves up at a constant speed of 16 mm/s (after
briefly accelerating 1 s).
Button used to move down hyperion along the vertical axis.
It moves down 1 mm when the button is pressed once.
If the button is held down, the unit moves down at a constant speed of 16 mm/s (after
briefly accelerating 1 s).
"Reset" button. If pressed once hyperion reaches its home position performing a con-
tinuous movement. Press the button again to interrupt movement.
Hold down the button to simulate the procedure without x-rays (5.5 Dummy run).
Button used to move the rotating arm longitudinally to correctly position the patient, as
described in paragraph 5.3 Positioning the patient.
The arm moves 1 mm each time the button is pressed: holding down the button has not
effects.
