To execute a dummy run, mode simulation or selected program without emitting radiation (dummy run) hold down but-
ton
(Reset).
This button has to be depressed throughout the entire run time otherwise movement will stop.
A dummy run may be useful for particularly anxious individuals and children as they can see exactly what the
exam consists of without having to leave them alone in the room.

5.7 Taking x-rays

The unit moves when the following operations are performed, The operator must:
Make sure all the safety standards have been satisfied before taking the x-ray pictures.
Press button
to start the cycle with x-ray emission. The button is found on the wall-mounted control panel placed
outside the room.
At this point, the yellow indicator led will come on and stay on until the cycle has been completed. No one may enter
the room under any circumstances until the light has gone out signalling x-rays are no longer being emitted. The x-ray
button has to be held down for the entire cycle time (the key works in "dead man" mode) otherwise x-ray emission will
be interrupted and the exam will not be completed.

5.8 Viewing and saving images

In order to correctly view the images obtained by hyperion a PC (4.2 Personal computer), complete with the program
required to view the x-rays, has to be connected.
Images can be saved without using the PC if a memory card is available (the same as the one used in most
digital cameras) and inserted in the port found on the bottom right-hand side of the control panel.
If a PC is not connected or a memory card has not been inserted, hyperion can save the images most recently obtained
in its memory until a PC is connected or a memory card is put in.
hyperion stores these images in its memory until it is shut off after which all data that has not been saved will be lost.
To more easily interpret panoramic images generated by hyperion, the following letters are stamped on the im-
ages:
R on the right side of the patient's teeth
L on the left side of the patient's teeth
