8.1 Controller, handpiece with handpiece

ATTENTION
Damage due to dropping
If the controller or the handpiece is dropped it can be
damaged.
Always set the controller down on the rubber feet on

a flat and stable surface so that it cannot fall.
Place the handpiece back in the handpiece tray after
E
each use so that it is safe.
If the controller or the handpiece is dropped, carry out
E
a visual check of the components.
Hand the controller or the handpiece in to an author-
E
ised dealer if the components have visible damage or
if they no longer function normally.
9 D I S P O S A L
The product service life foreseen by the manufacturer en-
compasses 5 years for all parts included in the delivery in-
sofar as the operating, storage and transport conditions de-
scribed in this operating manual as well as all maintenance
tasks are complied with.
If the product and its accessories continue to be used after
this product service life has expired, there is a risk of in-
creased wear or the failure of individual functions. Fault-free
operation will no longer be assured.
After the product service life has expired:
Dispose of the product showing the symbol op-

posite, in compliance with applicable regulations
on the disposal of electronic waste. Make en-
quiries with your specialist retailer or authorities
about the applicable regulations.
Place a container at your workplace for the proper dis-

posal of contaminated parts.
Dispose of used or faulty safety cartridges and safety
E
cartridges, whose packaging is damaged in a non-penet-
rable sharps container in accordance with the regula-
tions applicable in your country.

Remove the safety cartridge from the handpiece and

pull the handpiece cable out of the unit.
Wipe the device and its accessories with a soft cloth

moistened in the cleaning product or disinfectant.
Transport the device and its accessories only in the ori-

ginal packaging.
Store the device and its accessories only in the following

conditions:

Relative humidity
Air pressure
