*The field strength of static transmitters, such as base sta-
tions of mobile phones and land mobile radio services, ama-
teur stations, AM and FM radio and television broadcasting
stations cannot be theoretically precisely predetermined. In
order to determine the electromagnetic environment with
regards to static transmitters, a study of the location should
be considered. If the determined field strength at the loca-
tion of the device exceeds the compliance level specified
above then the device must be observed in its normal oper-
ation, to verify the intended function. If unusual performance
characteristics are observed, additional measures may be
necessary, such as a change in the orientation or in the
device location.
