CHAPTER 11
The essential condition to operate a safe, efficient and reliable machine longer is carrying out a
careful and constant servicing.
11.1

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

It is compulsory, before doing any kind of maintenance operation, to cut off power supply and wear
the individual protection devices (overalls, helmet, gloves, shoes) during all the stages of the
operation.
The purpose of the information and operations contained in this chapter is to enable carrying out
the maintenance and repairing the damages in a safe and adequate way to the requirements of
the machine in the expected use conditions and it is not a professional preparation course for
maintenance technicians training.
This kind of course should be arranged by skilled maintenance personnel.
11.2
TECHNICAL SKILLS
There are three kinds of maintenance operations:
A
OPERATIONS NOT REQUIRING SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS
These operations are carried out by generic personnel and generally concern cleaning tasks.
BC
OPERATIONS REQUIRING SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS
These operations are carried out by skilled user's personnel and are related to ordinary
maintenance.
It might be required electrical or mechanical skills.
IJ
OPERATIONS REQUIRING PARTICULAR TECHNICAL SKILLS
They are carried out only by OEM's – ALI S.p.A. skilled electric or mechanic technicians.
At the beginning of every paragraph referred to the different maintenance operations it is
indicated, with its relative symbol, the required skills for the operator.
