NOTE!
Subsequent light exposures and light exposures of 20 seconds in the
"Fast" mode:
if within 3 seconds after the end of a light exposure, the button on the
hand piece is pressed for longer than 2 seconds, then the subsequent light
exposure occurs with duration of 20 seconds in the "Fast" mode. If on the
other hand the button on the hand piece is only pressed after 3 seconds has
expired after the end of the previous light exposure, then the subsequent
light exposure occurs with duration of 20 seconds in the "Slow rise" mode.
For brief description of mode of operation see paragraph 4.2.2 (Functions of the operating
and display elements) and paragraph 4.2.3 (Explanation of the acoustic signals when
actuating the button on the hand piece).
7.4
Protection against overloading
If operation is extremely intensive, an overheating protection system is cut in automatically
(normally after 18 consecutive cycles, each lasting 20 seconds), and an acoustic signal
(3 beeps) is sounded. The activation of the overheating protection system temporarily
(for a few minutes) prevents the use of the lamp.
Please let the unit cool down for approx. 10 minutes.

The yellow LED on the charger fl ashes
If the yellow LED (2) on the charger fl ashes (see paragraph 4.2 Operating and display
elements), this means:
1 The battery is faulty (see paragraph 6.3.5 Changing the battery) or
2 Short circuit of contacts on the charger.
In case 2 (short circuit), you have to carry out the following to restart the charger:
1 Disconnect the power supply to the charger. All LEDs go off .
2 Eliminate the cause of the short circuit.
3 Connect the charger once more to the mains – the GREEN LED lights up
(see paragraph 4.2 Operating and display elements).

Cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation
8.1
Information on the sterilisation process
CAUTION!
The fi bre optic and protective guard must only to be sterilised in a steam
autoclave at a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F) for 20 minutes.
No other sterilisation procedure is permitted (dry heat, radiation, ethylene
oxide, gas, low-temperature plasma etc.).
CAUTION!
To prevent bacterial or viral infections, the fi bre optic and protective guard
must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilised after every treatment.
NOTE!
The operator must carry out all sterilisation phases in accordance with the
specifi cations EN 554.
