Instructions to clean charging contacts
The Translux Power Blue presents two pairs of charging contacts: one pair on the charger
and one pair at the end of the hand piece. These contacts should be cleaned regularly
to ensure the charging procedure and the good functioning of the polymerisation unit.
Charger and hand piece contacts should be cleaned at least once a week.
Following materials are needed for regular cleaning of the contacts:
• Cotton swabs.
• Paper towels.
• Alcohol solution (30% alcohol, 70% aqua destillata).
CAUTION!
The charging contacts of the hand piece must not be short circuited!
Remove all jewellery on the hands (rings, bracelets, chains) before operating
the hand piece! Risk of short circuit or burning.
CAUTION!
Charger and hand piece are not protected against penetrating fl uids.
Cleaning and disinfection must only be carried out using a damp cloth.
Prevent drop formation. The hand piece must never be immersed in a fl uid
when carrying out the above mentioned work or autoclaved (sterilised)
together with the light guide. Risk of unit destruction!
To clean the contacts of the Translux Power Blue, perform following steps:
DISCONNECT FROM MAINS!
Disconnect charger from mains,
danger of electric shock!
Cleaning charger contacts
Clean charger contacts with a dry or lightly in
alcohol damped towel or cotton swab.
Please note: Do not fl ood the contacts with
liquid!
Cleaning hand piece contacts
Clean hand piece contacts with a dry or lightly
in alcohol damped towel.
Please note: Do not turn the lamp on!
Do not look directly into the light source!
