The two green emergency start buttons on the panel are enabled for starting the engine. Observe the
ATTENTION
engine safety requirements to avoid involuntary start-up, disconnecting the batteries if necessary.
LEDs on the electronic control unit
Red AUTOMATIC MODE DISABLED LED on

The following information is displayed
- "0" Mode
- Switch not in automatic
- Battery voltage
Note: The control unit cannot be programmed when the keyswitch is in its "0" position.

EMERGENCY work mode
ATTENTION
Use only in case of automatic or manual system failure.
Key-operated selector switch set to AUTOMATIC or MANUAL or STOP position
Use one of the two green START buttons under the transparent cover (page 43, components 3, 4)
Each buttons starts the engine from the battery without the involvement of the control unit, as it operates directly on the starting
motor control relay.
The START 1 button commands the starting motor from battery 1
The START 2 button commands the starting motor from battery 2
Start-up
The START 1 (2) control button starts the motor
No indicator light comes on on the control unit.
Do not hold down the button for any longer than 5 seconds to avoid damaging the starter relay.
ATTENTION
If it is necessary to repeat the start-up operation, release the button and try with the other one.
Do not press both buttons simultaneously or you will damage the batteries.
Shut-off
Switching-off methods
Operate the motor's mechanical control directly, i.e. the same lever operated by the electric stop device - refer to the engine
instructions manual to identify the exact position. The switch-off lever (provided by the engine manufacturer) is located in non-
hazardous positions, as this is an occasional, emergency manoeuvre. Press the STOP button on the control unit, if it is working
Do not use the emergency start operating mode unless it is strictly necessary, as it is not possible to use
ATTENTION
the key to switch off.
When approaching the motor, be very careful to avoid accidental contacts with heated parts such as the
exhaust, the manifold and the oil pan!
