6.2.4
Biannual check
Each part of the biannual check must be performed at a frequency of no more than every six months. These are (EN12845 para
20.3.3):
Check the dry alarm valves and the other components of the system.
Check the correct triggering of the alarms in the control room and/or in the fire department.
6.2.5
Annual check
Each part of the annual check must be performed at a frequency of no more than every twelve months. These are (EN12845
para 20.3.4):
Check the pressure and flow rate of the pumps with reference to the technical data plate.
Check the Diesel pump "no start" alarm, in accordance with standard EN 12845 point 10.9.7.2 - UNI 10779 (perform six
starting attempts on the two batteries in alternation).
After the six attempts check activation, on the electric panel:
of the no start LED,
of the no start alarm contact.
Press the "START" manual test button immediately after the test to restart the motor.
Check the working order of the float valves and filters in the tanks.
6.2.6
Three-yearly check
Each part of the three-yearly check must be performed at a frequency of no more than every three years. These are (EN12845
para 20.3.5):
Check for corrosion both INSIDE and outside the tanks and touch up the protective coating as necessary.
Check the on-off and check valves and replace any that are damaged or faulty.
6.2.7
Ten yearly check
After no more than every ten years, clean all the water tanks and perform an inspection on the inside and check the
waterproofing (EN12845 para 20.3.6).
