9. Upper bead demounting (fig. 22)
- Check that the tool has engaged with the tyre bead.
- Operate (control 28) to get the machine ready for the
subsequent demounting operation (performed with the wheel
at a standstill and not rotating).
- Make sure that the tyre has not beaded in on the operator's
side. If necessary, use a clamp and/or a bed presser.
- Only then operate pedal (15) until the bead is completely
demounted.
- Here again, it might be helpful to use the bead breaker disc on
the lower part of the tyre.
- Upon demounting, if the tyre tends to slip on the rim edge, the
HELP accessory supplied can be used (see "PRACTICAL HINTS,
ADVICE AND USEFUL INFORMA¬TION").
10. Lower bead demounting (fig. 23) (Using tool-carrying
head)
- Place the tool on the edge of the rim (A).
- Push the bead breaker disc against the bottom bead (B) using
control 23.
- Using control 28, operate the hook and engage the bottom
bead of the tyre (C-D).
- Operate pedal 15 to rotate the wheel until the tyre is
completely demounted from the rim (E).
