6. Bead breaker disc positioning (fig. 28)
- Lower the bead breaker disc (control 21)(A) until it is
level with the well of the rim and make enough room for
the clamp to be inserted.
7. Upper bead mounting (fig. 29-29a)
- Mount the clamp in the space created by the bead
breaker disc (fig. 28).
- Spin the wheel (pedal 15) to mount the bead until the
clamp is close to the tool.
- For large (over 19") or particularly difficult wheels, a
second clamp may be useful.
- Apply further pressure to the tyre (control 21) and move
the tool head to its rest position (control 13).
- Spin the wheel again (pedal 15) until the clamp is close
to the bead breaker disc and remove the clamp (E).
- Once mounting is complete, raise the bead breaker disc
(control 21).
