5.1.3 Machines G98.13 - G98E.13 - G102.15 - G102.15M

A. Lubricate slides 1,2 (Fig. 66) and rack 3 (G98E.13-G102.15) and pinion.
B. Check the hydraulic oil level contained in unit 4 and top up if necessary.
PERFORM THIS OPERATION ONLY WITH THE MACHINE COMPLETELY CLOSED (HYDRAULIC
PISTONS EXTENDED).
To top up, use the recommended lubricants (see par. 5.2).
The oil does not need to be replaced.
C. Clean maximum pressure valve 5 (Fig. 66) with petrol and compressed air, and make sure that the valve
slider is moving freely.
D. Check the oil level of gearbox 1 (Fig. 67); the sight glass 2 must be completely covered by the lubricant. If not,
remove plug 3 and top up with the recommended lubricants (see par. 5.2) until reaching the correct level.
E. Adjust the play of slide 1 (Fig. 68) on guide plate 2 by means of the adjustment screws of sliding blocks 3.
F. Check tension of belts 6 (Fig. 66):
• Remove upper guard 7 with a screwdriver.
• Tighten belts 6 with screw 8 after having loosened lock nuts 9 of motor 10.
• After carrying out the adjustment, tighten fixing nuts 9 and fit the guard 7.
5.2

Fluids and Lubricants

5.2.1 Hydraulic system fluids

To fill and top up the hydraulic systems, use the following fluids:
•
ESSO Nuto H 32
•
SHELL Tellus oil 32
•
TOTAL Azolla 32
There is no need to fully change fluids, but care must be taken not to mix different fluids. When topping up use the
same fluid already present inside the system. Upon installation, restore the fluid level inside the hydraulic system.
The following chart shows the quantity of fluid necessary to restore the level at the first topping up and the quantity
of fluid contained inside the whole hydraulic system of every single tire changer model, in case fluid has to be fully
changed.

5.2.2 Lubricants

Special lubricant for spindle movement control gearbox. Use ESSO GEAR OIL GX140.
Inject grease of ESSO GP type into machine greasers using the gun. Lubricate slides, screws/nut screws or racks
and pinion with a soft brush using lubricant of ESSO GP type.

6.

LONG STOPS OF THE MACHINE

In the event of long machine stops (6 months or more), lower the chucking table arm completely, bring the
hydraulic cylinders in the fully retracted position and disconnect the machine from the mains.
Protect all delicate machine parts.
Protect the hydraulic hoses or they will damage if left to dry.
Before restarting the machine, make sure all the protected machine components are working properly and check
entire machine for proper operation.
