• Plasma OK
Output with feedback about the plasma status.
In a reliable operating condition, 24 V is present at this output.
When switched off or in the event of a fault, this drops to 0 V.
Maximum load capacity of 20 mA.
Attention
The Plasma OK signal only verifies that the exchange module is operating within an
acceptable range of operating parameters and that plasma is being discharged. It does
NOT check if the activation power arrives on the substrate or if the whole process is 'OK'.
• Error
Output with feedback about the error status.
In the event of a fault, 24 V is present at this output.
In permitted operating conditions, that figure drops to 0 V.
Maximum load capacity of 20 mA.
7.3
Error acknowledgement
The error status remains active even after the 'Plasma On' signal has been deactivated.
A reset after a fault has been remedied is only possible by removing the 24 V power
supply from the DC connecting line.
To restart plasma generation, the 'Plasma on' switching signal must be switched on
again.

Installing / removing the exchange module
To make it easier to distinguish between them, exchange modules are provided with
colour-coded adhesive labels. Please do not remove these labels.
Caution – Electrical voltage!
Ensure that the power supply is isolated when replacing a module. Do not reach
inside the device after the exchange module has been removed.
Caution – Hot surface!
Exchange modules may have become hot while in operation. Do not touch the modules
until they have cooled down, and ensure when working with exchange modules that
they do not damage surfaces that are not sufficiently heat-resistant.
To use an exchange module, remove it from its packaging and only hold it outside by the
nozzle outlet without touching the piezo element (Fig. 1).
To make installation possible, ensure that the contact board of the exchange module is
on the same side as the adhesive label on the module track.
Turn the locking ring on the module carrier anti-clockwise into its 'open' position (red).
Install the desired exchange module in the module carrier. For this, grip the front area
from outside, as shown in this illustration, without touching the piezo element. With the
adhesive label facing upwards, it is easy to slide the exchange module into the module
carrier. Ensure that the exchange module is installed as deeply as shown in this
illustration. Turn the locking ring on the module carrier clockwise into its 'closed' position
(green).
