Commissioning a device with CAN bus communication
•
Ensure that an exchange module is installed in the device.
•
Please note the instructions relating to electrically conductive objects (Figs. 5 to 8).
•
Ensure that sufficient suction extraction is assured in the work area.
•
Ensure that the module carrier has a functioning gas supply.
•
Ensure that a unique CANopen address is set on each device. The address is set at the
DIP switches in the binary system. A list of possible addresses can be found in the
documentation for the EDS file (see chapter 7.8).
•
Ensure that there is a bus termination on the last device connected to the bus (see
chapter 5.7).
•
Ensure that all the devices are connected to the CAN bus (see chapter 5.7).
•
Ensure that each device has a supply voltage of 24 V.
•
Set up the PZ3-i devices in your PLC with the help of the EDS file (see chapter 7.8).
•
Send the 'Plasma On' signal to the connected devices.
