GENERAL WARNING
1.1 Introduction
The „Mida Tool Eye Electrical Arm" quasi-machine (hereafter referred to as „the Arm") has been designed
and built to be installed on machines such as lathes or turning centres as a process control accessory. The
Arm shall conform to the safety regulations only if it is installed on the machine it has been designed to be
used with, and if the latter is certified with the corresponding CE declaration of conformity.
Modifications that alter either the mechanical or electrical characteristics of the Arm may only by
implemented by the manufacturer, who will guarantee that it conforms to the safety regulations. All
modifications or maintenance operations not covered by the technical documentation shall be considered
arbitrary. The manufacturer declines all responsibility in the event of the failure to observe this condition.
The descriptions and illustrations supplied with this documentation are not definitive. The company
reserves the right to modify the product in any way it sees fit, in order to improve its performance, or for any
other reason, without prior notice, and shall not be obliged to modify this document accordingly.
This document, or any part thereof, may not be reproduced or disclosed to third parties, by any means or in
any form, without the prior authorisation of the author. Legal action will be taken in the event of any
violations of this condition. The manufacturer reserves the right to modify this document.

The original version of this document was created in Italian.
In the event of any disputes arising from translations, even if carried out by Marposs S.p.A., the Italian
version shall be considered definitive.
1.3 Warnings for users
This instruction manual all the information necessary for understanding and operating the MARPOSS
equipment in your possession correctly.
THE USER MUST ENSURE THAT ALL PERSONNEL ASSIGNED TO INSTALL, OPERATE AND
SERVICE THE EQUIPMENT READ THIS MANUAL
The information contained in this manual is intended for use by the following categories of personnel:
Personnel employed by MARPOSS, or the company that produced the machine tool where the Arm
is to be mounted (hereafter "the Customer"), who are directly responsible for installing the device.
Technical personnel employed by the end user (hereafter "the User") who will be directly responsible
for operating the Marposs equipment.
Technical personnel employed by the "User" who are responsible for carrying out maintenance work
on the line where the MARPOSS equipment is installed.
The manual is an integral part of the equipment, therefore the user must ensure that it is always available
and in kept good condition throughout the working life of the device.
The manufacturer may only be held responsible for the Arm if it is used correctly and in accordance with the
limits indicated in this manual and its attachments.
The manufacturer shall be responsible for ensuring that the Customer receives a copy of this manual and
its attachments.
Preparations that are the responsibility of the Customer. The customer shall:
Position and secure the device correctly on the machine.
Make all the electrical connections to the device.
Set-up the probe position.
1.4 Functional test and warranty
Materials are guaranteed against defects, with the following limitations:
DURATION OF THE WARRANTY: The warranty covers the product and any repairs carried out within
the agreed period.
OBJECT OF THE WARRANTY: The warranty shall apply to the product and all its component parts
identified by a serial number or other identification number used by MARPOSS.
The warranty described above shall be valid unless alternative terms are stipulated by MARPOSS and the
Customer.
