4.2 Packaging, handling, transport
4.2.1 Packaging
The Mida Tool Eye Arm is packed in a cardboard box, with an insert in order to protect it during the
handling and transport operations.
4.2.2 Handling the packaging
In order to move the packaging it may be lifted manually in accordance with the instructions for moving
loads by hand, as set out in the general health and safety at work regulations, with special reference to the
instructions for lifting loads placed on the ground.
4.2.3 Transporting the packaging
The packaging containing the Arm must be transported in covered vehicles in order to protect them from
exposure to the elements.
4.2.4 Disposing of packaging materials
The materials used to package the Arm are not harmful to people, animals or other materials when being
disposed of.
The operators or personnel responsible for disposing of the packaging should be aware that it consists of:
Cardboard:
Outer wrapping and insert
Polyurethane film: Insert.
Environmental hazard
Plastic and polyurethane+poluethylene ARE NOT biodegradable, therefore they should not be
disposed of in the environment: Recycle and/or dispose of in accordance with the applicable
regulations in the destination Country.
4.3 Storage
4.3.1 General information
The mechanical and electronic components installed on the Arm have been selected for their reliability and
durability. The components satisfy the manufacturing safety requirements and have been designed to
withstand temperatures between -15°C and +55°C (5°F and 131°F) during transport and storage.
4.3.2 Storing the mechanical parts
The Arm must be stored in a covered area where dust and humidity levels are kept to a minimum.
The warehouse storage shelf must be level and smooth.
In order to avoid damaging the Arm or its packaging, do not place any objects, no matter how light, on top
of it.
