2.1.5.3 Training
The following personnel categories must complete training courses:
4. operators responsible for transporting, storing and installing the gauge in order to:
Instruct users about the correct methods for lifting and transporting the component parts of the Arm
as recommended by the manufacturer, in order to avoid the hazards that may arise when moving
loads;
Instruct users about the correct storage procedures for the Arm components in order to avoid
damaging them, rendering them unsafe and/or compromising their correct operation;
Instruct users about the correct procedures for installing the Arm, including mounting the
mechanical parts, cabling the hydraulic parts and connecting the power supplies, in order to
prevent errors that could place the operators at risk of injury.
5. operators responsible for supervising the Arm during normal operations, in order to:

ARM IS TO BE INSTALLED
The operators responsible for supervising the arm during normal operations must receive
training based on the instructions provided in the manual supplied with the machine where the
gauge is to be installed, since this document does not provide all the necessary information (see
paragraph 1.4).

2.1.5.4 Procedures
In order to prevent accidents, the operator must make sure that all the safety conditions are satisfied before
carrying out any of the operations with the Arm described in this manual.
In order to avoid hazardous situations, the operator must read chapters 3 GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND
TECHNICAL DATA and 7 MAINTENANCE of this manual carefully.
Paragraph 3.2 Technical features contains all the data required to transport and store the unit correctly,
chapter 5 INSTALLATION contains all the information necessary to install the Arm correctly, while chapter
7 MAINTENANCE includes all the ordinary and unscheduled maintenance procedures.
