The Arm must be installed in environments that are sufficiently well lit; when carrying out maintenance
operations in poorly lit areas, use additional, portable lighting, taking care to avoid creating shadows that
impede or reduce visibility at the point where the work is to be carried out or in the surrounding areas.

Unqualified and unauthorised personnel must not access the quasi-machine working area when it is being
serviced.

The Arm must be switched off, i.e. disconnected from its electrical power supply, when service and
maintenance work are being carried out on it.

Any maintenance operations that require the Arm to be connected to its electrical power supply, such as
fault finding in the electrical panels, must be carried out by suitably qualified personnel in accordance with
the internal factory safety procedures.
7.1 Ordinary maintenance operations
Ensure the Arm remains clean, especially the rotating part and the measurement probe.
Use a dry cloth to remove shavings and other dirt.
Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents.
Do not use pointed or sharp objects to remove dirt.
7.2 Unscheduled maintenance operations
7.2.1 Replacing the measurement probe
If the measurement probe is broken or faulty, replace it with another probe of the same type (see SPARE
PARTS LIST) See paragraph 5.3.2 Fitting the probe on the Arm.
7.2.2 Replacing the stylus
If the stylus or shear pin are broken or damaged, replace them with identical spare parts (see SPARE
PARTS LIST ). See paragraphs: 5.3.4 Mounting the arm and the shear pin, 5.3.5 Adjusting the stylus and
5.3.6 Fine adjustments.
7.2.3 Replacing the E32A SSR interface
