SAFETY DEVICES
2.1 General safety information
2.1.1 Reference directives
This gauge has been designed and built in accordance with the health and safety requirements defined by
the following directives:
2006/42/CE: NEW MACHINERY DIRECTIVE
The Arm must be controlled by a lathe type machine for checking and processing mechanical parts, which
conforms to the applicable safety regulations covering machining equipment.
2.1.2 Product conformity
The Arm described in this document has been designed and built to be installed in an industrial type
environment.
The Arm is sold together with the declaration of incorporation in accordance with the Directive 2006/42/CE,
attachment II 1 B and may not be put into service until it has been declared that the machine where it is to
be installed conforms to the requirements of the Machine Directive (2006/42/CE).
ATTENTION
Modifications that alter either the design or manufacturing specifications of the Arm, affecting
safety, risk prevention or the environment where it may be installed may only by implemented
by the manufacturer, who will guarantee that it conforms to the applicable safety regulations
Therefore, repositioning and/or modifications or maintenance operations not covered by the
technical documentation shall be considered arbitrary.
Marposs S.p.A. declines all responsibility for the consequences of the failure to observe these
safety instructions.
2.1.3 Selecting the operator
2.1.3.1 Definition of operator
R.E.S.S. 1.1.1 "Definitions" of the Attachment I to the machine Directive 2006/42/CE defines operator as
the person or persons assigned to install, operate, regulate, clean, repair and move a machine, or carry out
repair work on it.
2.1.3.2 Physical and mental health of the operator/installation personnel
The operator responsible for installing the gauge must be in full possession of their mental faculties, and be
aware of the risks involved when installing working equipment.
