Normal Use
Adjusting Power Outputs – Using the Footswitch Pedals
TYPE 1 & 2 Instruments Only
Press and hold the Footswitch Menu Button (the round button in the center of the
STEP 1 Footswitch) until the speaker of the Electrosurgical Generator sounds an audible acknowl-
edgment; then release the button that was applied.
The Electrosurgical Generator Display will
then highlight the cut and/or coagulation
STEP 2 power settings according to the selected
instrument. The display for RS2 is illustrat-
ed as an example.
Pressing and releasing the yellow (Left) footswitch pedal repeatedly will cycle the
Display through the range of RF cut power settings that are available for the connected
Instrument.
STEP 3
Pressing and releasing the blue (Right) Footswitch pedal repeatedly will cycle the Display
through the range of coagulation power settings that are available for the connected In-
strument.
Once the power output settings have been selected, press and hold the center Footswitch
STEP 4 Menu button until the Electrosurgical Generator speaker sounds an audible acknowledg-
ment.
Releasing the Footswitch Menu button then returns the Display of the Electrosurgical
Generator to the new Treatment settings selected.
STEP 5
Before commencing treatment always confirm that the correct power settings have been
selected and are displayed accordingly.
